Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has also provided documentary evidence to the police against the allegations leveled against him in the ‘rape’ case filed by actress Payal Ghosh.
In the rape case, Anurag Kashyap went to the Versova police station on October 1 with his lawyer Priyanka Khemani.
The report quoted Midday as saying that the filmmaker had been interrogated for eight hours and had denied all the allegations made in the FIR.
Later, the filmmaker’s lawyer Priyanka Khambani had issued a statement regarding the appearance of Anurag Kashyap.

According to the Times of India, the filmmaker’s lawyer had said in a statement that Anurag Kashyap had denied all the allegations and provided documentary evidence to the police.
He said that the material provided by Anurag Kashyap was in support of his statement, in which it was stated that Pail Ghosh’s complaint was a complete lie.
The lawyer said that Anurag Kashyap had provided documentary evidence that he was in Sri Lanka in August 2013 in connection with the shooting of one of his films.

According to the statement, the allegations related to the alleged accident in August 2013 have been widely publicized by Pail Ghosh with the intention of defaming Anurag Kashyap, regardless of the court proceedings.
According to the lawyer, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is confident that the falsehood of the complaint has been exposed, not only because of the evidence provided but also because of the contradictory statements made by Pail Ghosh in the media.

The statement further said that Anurag Kashyap is confident that now that the allegations contained in the FBR are being proved to be false, Pail Ghosh will change his statement in the investigation process.
It may be recalled that actress Pail Ghosh and her lawyer Nitin Satpute had filed a case against Anurag Keshp on September 25 at the Versova police station on ‘rape’ charges.
Payal Ghosh had protested at the police station on September 29 after Anurag Kashyap was not summoned by the police for questioning for four days after the case was filed.

Actress Pail Ghosh, along with her lawyers, protested at the Versova police station, accusing the police of being slow to act on their complaint.
A day after the actress’ protest, the police had ordered Anurag Kashyap to appear at the police station and record his statement.
Surprisingly, Payal Ghosh initially accused Anurag Kashyap of sexual exploitation on September 19, but he filed a ‘rape’ case against the filmmaker.
Payal Ghosh had revealed in an interview to India Today that the filmmaker had exploited him six years ago in 2014.
According to the actress, the filmmaker had invited her to his house in 2014 and it was the second meeting between the two.
According to Payal Ghosh, Anurag Kashyap took him to a room in his house, where as soon as he entered, the filmmaker took off his clothes and tried to rape him.
The actress further said that she told Anurag Kashyap that she was not ready for the job today but the filmmaker did not listen to her and they came closer and closer to her, but she kept protesting that she was someone. Not even ready for work.
According to Payal Ghosh, after his constant prayers, Anurag accepted Kashyap, but at the same time, he warned the actress to come mentally ready for the second time.
After the allegations were made by Pail Ghosh, Anurag Kashyap in his series of tweets called all his allegations false and fabricated.
Later, Anurag Kashyap’s two ex-wives Aarti Bajaj and Kalki Kochlein also denied Pail Ghosh’s allegations while several actresses also supported the filmmaker.
