A rape case has been registered against Indian filmmaker Anurag Kashyap following allegations of sexual harassment leveled by actress Payal Ghosh.
ActressPayal Ghosh in her short tweet on September 19 mentioned filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and claimed that the filmmaker tried to force her.

In his short tweet, Payal Ghosh also mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demanded that he take notice of the incident.
The actress had demanded the Prime Minister to take notice and arrest the filmmaker and tell the people that the devil is hiding behind a creative person.

After being tweeted by Payal Ghosh, the hashtag (Me Too) started trending again on Twitter in India on September 19 and 20 and many people expressed surprise at Payal Ghosh revelations.
Later, Anurag Kashyap, in a series of tweets in Hindi, denied Ghosh’s allegations and sent a message to her that she was also polluting other women due to her stubbornness.
According to NDTV, according to Mumbai Police, Pail Ghosh and his lawyer Nitin Satpute had approached the Versova police station, after which a case was registered against Anurag Kashyap.
In this regard, Nitin Satpute had tweeted that an FIR has finally been registered against the accused of the crime of rape. Police said the woman’s statement was being recorded and they accused Anurag Kashyap of raping her at a place on Yari Road in Versova in 2013.
The police official told the Press Trust of India that the filmmaker would be called in for questioning.
After tagging the office of the Indian Prime Minister in the allegations leveled by actress Payal Ghosh, Rekha Sharma, head of the National Commission for Women, had replied that the actress could send her a detailed complaint.

Pail Ghosh had also said in his allegations that he had told Anurag Kashyap that he gave a chance to Richa Chadha, Mahi Gul and Huma Qureshi, they are ordinary girls, usually directors do not give such girls a chance but you Well done but I’m not mentally ready for it all.
On the other hand, Richa Chadha sent a legal notice to Pail Ghosh on this statement while Huma Qureshi replied that she was angry over the statement of the actress but Anurag Kashyap never misbehaved with her or anyone else.
It is believed that both the ex-wives of the filmmaker have also denied the allegations of Pail Ghosh.
Anurag Kashyap first married Indian film editor Aarti Bajaj in 2003, which lasted for six years and they have a daughter.
The filmmaker was married to actress Kalki Kochlin for the second time in 2011 and the two separated four years later in 2015.
Anurag Kashyap’s first ex-wife Aarti Bajaj defended him and issued a statement in this regard and wrote that this is the worst stunt ever, first I got angry at it and then I laughed.
On the other hand, Kalki Kochlein, the second ex-wife of the filmmaker, also denied the allegations against Anurag Kashyap in a message released on the social networking site Twitter and wrote that the trolls will troll.

“Anurag, don’t bother yourself with this social media circus, you have fought for the freedom of women in your scripts, you have defended their integrity in your life with your profession,” she wrote in a statement.
