Robots will now perform complex bowel colonoscopy

London: Endoscopy and colonoscopy are used to check the condition of the intestines. But this process is very time consuming, demanding, painful and complicated. Now a state-of-the-art robot has been created for this purpose.

PetroVildastry and colleagues at the University of Leeds in the UK have developed a robotic arm that sends a flexible system inside the gut through a machine learning algorithm while the camera shows the inside scenes. It is currently being tested with an artificial intestine similar to that of pigs and humans.

It has a magnetic device attached to the probe end and a state-of-the-art camera mounted on the edge, while the robot is propelled out of the body by a magnet. This robot works on its own and can be operated by a specialist doctor with a joystick. According to Petro, the process is as simple as playing a video game. Its software remembers the 3D location and movement of the endoscope inside the abdomen.
The endoscopes that are currently being used around the world are very difficult to operate and operate. That is why it requires very special experts. Petro says gastroenterologists often dig right, left and up and down.

Like all modern medical devices, its heart and brain have artificial intelligence (AI) that keeps taking pictures and videos inside the intestines. Our intestines look like tubes from the inside. In this process, the algorithm sees a black circle in the middle of the tube, which is obviously the passage of the intestinal tract, and thus commands the robotic endoscope to move forward.

The whole system has been tested on two pigs and an artificial intestine, much like a human intestine. According to scientists, magnetic endoscopes are less painful and can be tested on a patient without anesthesia.
