Negative results on volunteers, trial phase of corona vaccine stopped

Leading multinational pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson has stopped testing the vaccine due to a negative reaction from its Corona vaccine volunteers.

According to Reuters, Johnson & Johnson confirmed in a statement issued on October 12 that some of the vaccine volunteers entering the third trial phase had negative effects on them, leading to a temporary suspension of the vaccine trial given.

According to the company, the trial of the vaccine was stopped after some volunteers complained of an unknown disease.

The company said volunteers also confirmed the unknown disease complaint from monitoring and independent data, which temporarily halted testing of the third phase of the vaccine.

Although the company confirmed that the trial phase of the vaccine had been stopped, the company did not provide any explanation for the disease among volunteers and called it an unknown disease.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine was successfully tested on monkeys in August this year, shortly after it was tested on humans.

The third and most important test phase was launched in mid-September last year after the first phase of human trials was successful.

In the third trial phase of the vaccine, 60,000 people were to be vaccinated in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, South Africa and the United States.

However, a month after the start of the third phase, the trial was halted after an unknown disease appeared in the volunteers.

If the trial of the vaccine had not been stopped, the third phase of the vaccine would have been completed by the end of this year or the beginning of 2021, after which the results would have been announced a few weeks later.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine was considered better than all other vaccines made by other companies or countries, as only one dose of the vaccine was estimated to affect a corona patient.

With the exception of Johnson & Johnson, almost all doses of the vaccine have been estimated to affect corona patients.

In addition to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, four Chinese companies, Moderina in the United States, Pfizer and a vaccine from Oxford University in the United Kingdom, have also entered the final, third phase of testing.

If any of the seven vaccines succeed in the third phase, one of the vaccines will be available in the world by the middle of next year.

It is thought that Johnson & Johnson will announce the results of the vaccine after a full review of the disease among volunteers and it is possible that the trial of the vaccine will be resumed, but it is too early to say. ۔
