Why do most women get pregnant in cold weather?

It is difficult to say anything about statistics in Pakistan because the availability of data is not easy here but in the US and Europe or various Asian countries you will be surprised to know that most people there have their birthdays between July and September.

This is not a coincidence, in fact the United States alone saw a 9% increase in the rate of pregnant women in December and now science has made interesting discoveries in this regard.

Every creature in the world has an evolutionary conscience and a specific season of birth, while research shows that this tendency is also present in humans.

Research has shown that if the pregnancy stays in the cold season, the babies are born in the warmer months and resources are more readily available at that time (transportation is often difficult in the United States or Europe due to snowfall in the cold season).

However, what is the relationship between the cold months and pregnancy? The answer to this is given in research and it has been said that when the temperature drops, the duration of day (sunlight) decreases and the duration of night increases.

The study found that in the colder months, male sperm are more potent than in hot weather, while shorter daylight hours improve the female reproductive system.

The study examined the relationship between the weather and pregnancy and found that the quality of sperm decreases in summer, while the female system also works differently.

By the way, scientists say that it is not surprising that more women get pregnant during the holidays (there are many Christmas holidays in the United States and Europe in December).

A map of the United States from 1994 to 2014, based on birth rates, found that the most common birthday was September 9th, followed by September 19th.

Another study found that babies born in the warmer months had a higher birth weight on average than babies born in the first five months of the year, compared to women who became pregnant in the warmer climates. They are more likely to gain weight.
