People around the world are waiting for vaccines to stop the coronavirus outbreak, but there is one country where millions of people have been vaccinated.
About 1 million people have been tested under the Chinese company’s Synoform’s experimental Corona vaccine emergency use program.
Sinoform chairman Liu Jingzhen said on Chinese social media site WeChat that those who received the vaccine did not report any serious side effects.
“We administered the vaccine to about one million people for emergency use and so far no serious side effects have been reported, only a few reported mild symptoms,” he said.
He said the vaccine was used by Chinese construction workers, diplomats and students who traveled to more than 150 countries around the world during the epidemic and no one was diagnosed with the code.
He said on November 6 that 56,000 people using emergency vaccines had gone abroad.
“For example, a company has 99 employees working in an office abroad, 81 of whom have been vaccinated,” he said. Of the 18 people who did not get the vaccine, 10 were diagnosed with the disease, while all those who got the vaccine were safe.
Human trials for the third and final phase of the synoform vaccine are taking place in 10 countries, including Pakistan, involving about 60,000 people.
Synoform is testing 2 corona viruses and it is not clear which vaccine Leo Jung-zen was referring to.
It is believed that China has approved several experimental vaccines for emergency use, while a vaccine from Ken Sino Biologics is being used by the Chinese military.
Since July this year, Chinese companies have introduced training vaccines to people at high risk under the emergency program.
