The interpretation of a dream changed the fate of Shahid Afridi

Karachi: The interpretation of a dream changed the fate of Shahid Afridi, while what he saw in his sleep in Nairobi, he did the same on the field two days later.

Although the record was later broken by New Zealand’s Corey Anderson and later South Africa’s Abraham de Villiers set the record for the fastest century in ODI cricket with a three-figure innings off just 31 balls. Afridi’s victory in this innings did not come to anyone’s part and it was he who changed his fortunes.
Shahid Khan Afridi was on a tour of the West Indies with the Under-19 team in 1996 when he was included in the team as a league spinner for a four-nation tournament due to Mushtaq Ahmed’s injury. In Nairobi, when he batted in net practice Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis were also surprised to see the essence. The first match was against Kenya.

He told teammate Shadab Kabir in the morning that in a dream Jayasuriya and Murali Dharan were hitting sixes. He did not bat in his debut match against Kenya that day and lost the wicket despite bowling 32 runs, but 2 days later. In a one-down position against Sri Lanka, he landed on the field and stopped the first ball to take the next one across the boundary by air, after which his baton charge began with Chaminda Vass, Sajiva de Silva, Jayasuriya, Dharma Sena. And Murali Dharan watched in amazement at his beating.

Shahid Afridi also recalls the innings against Australia in Hobart in 2005 in which he hit 2 sixes and 3 fours to McGrath and 2 sixes and a boundary to Brett Lee. He scored 56 runs on balls.
