Shaheen Shah Afridi’s record of taking 5 wickets 4 times in T20

Pakistani cricket fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi took five wickets for 21 runs against Sindh in a match of the National T20 Cup and set a record of taking five wickets four times in the shortest matches.

At the Multan Stadium, Shaheen Shah Afridi continued to lead the Sindh batsmen to the pavilion through his meticulous bowling and also set a record.

Shaheen Shah Afridi took the wickets of Khurram Manzoor, Azam Khan, Anwar Ali, Sohail Khan and Sharjeel Khan, who played a big innings of 90 runs.

He took 5 wickets for 21 runs, thus taking 5 wickets in a match for the second time in the last 3 matches.

The young bowler took five wickets four times in T20 style cricket, setting a record for the fewest matches played.

In T20 style cricket, Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga holds the record of taking 5 wickets 5 times but he has played 289 matches.

Shaheen Shah Afridi holds the record for taking 5 wickets 4 times in just 56 T20 matches.

South Africa’s David Weiss is third and fourth in the list with 203 matches and Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan has taken 5 wickets 4 times in 302 matches.

Shaheen Shah Afridi has taken these 5 wickets for the third time in the last 5 matches which is a proof of his excellent form.

In this match of National T20 Cup, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa defeated Sindh by 8 wickets and Shaheen Shah Afridi was declared the best player of the match.

Shaheen Shah Afridi has so far played 15 T20 matches at the international level in which he has taken 18 wickets and the best bowling is 3 wickets for 20 runs.

Shaheen Afridi, who started his career against the West Indies in April 2018, has taken 76 wickets in a total of 56 matches in T20 style and his best bowling is 6 for 19.
