New world record for holding the breath: 24 minutes 33 seconds!

Croatia: The average person can’t hold their breath for just two minutes, but Bodimir Buda Shubat, a 54-year-old Croatian diver, has set a new world record by holding his breath for 24 minutes and 33 seconds.

For the past few years, Shubat has been trying to test his body in a variety of extreme conditions. His recent record is also a link in the same chain.

Before setting the record, Shubat breathed deeply in pure oxygen for five minutes to accumulate abundant oxygen in his lungs.
Then they went down into the pool and put their heads in the water so that they could not breathe even if they wanted to. A video of the whole operation in the Croatian town of Sesak has been recorded and posted on YouTube, which is about an hour and a half long:

It is worth mentioning that even before this, he has set a record by holding his breath for 24 minutes and 11 seconds under water.

In a fresh attempt, he broke his own record by staying underwater, holding his breath for 24 minutes and 33 seconds.

Various media websites have also confirmed this record but so far Guinness World Records has not included it in the list of world records.
