London: We humans often get angry with hunger for which the word Hungary is used in English. But now it is known that the males of the famous fruit fly also start fighting with each other, impatient with hunger.
Jennifer Perry, a professor at the University of East Anglia in the UK, says: “Males attack only bees and do not say anything to females. Some even use their legs like swords in front of a fly. ‘
In the experiment, scientists divided the males of the fruit bee (Drosophila melanogaster) into five groups, with 58 and 74 bees housed together. In one of these groups, there were adults who turned into insects into flies and were not fed anything after receiving the new form. The second group was fed throughout the experiment, while the third group was fed but kept hungry for 24, 48 and 72 hours.
Pairs of six- to seven-day-old bees were then kept together and examined for five hours with food in them, during which time their behavior was recorded.
As soon as the bees got hungry after eating, they started fighting with each other and this trend was seen. This research is also important because most of the fruit bee genes are human-like, and the research on bees is somewhat related to humans.
