Can a wife get divorced because of her husband’s love? At least in India, such a strange incident has come to light.
A woman in the Sanbhal district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh has revealed this strange reason for separating from her husband.
According to Gulf News, 18 months after the marriage, the woman approached the Shariah court and filed for divorce, saying that her husband loves her very much and never fights with her.
In the petition, the woman claimed that she was not ‘digesting’ her husband’s love so much.
He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture and that his confession had been obtained through torture. I feel suffocated in such an environment, sometimes he even cooks for me while also helping with household chores.
“Whenever I make a mistake, he always forgives me. I want to argue with him. I don’t want a life where the husband agrees on everything,” she added.
According to the report, the scholars of the Shariah court were confused over the reason given by the woman for khula and later the petition was rejected as frivolous.
However, the woman could not be stopped from doing so and after the Shariah court rejected her application, she took the matter to the local panchayat.
The panchayat also said on the issue that it could not decide such a petition.
When the woman was asked if she had any other reason for khula, she replied in the negative.
The woman’s husband, on the other hand, said he always wanted to keep his wife happy.
He had requested the Shariah court to return the case and the court has now directed the couple to resolve the matter together.
Earlier last year, a similar case was reported in the UAE state of Sharjah in which a woman objected to her husband’s excessive love.
Later, due to her husband’s never arguing and leading a very obedient life, the woman filed a divorce petition against him.
The woman filed for divorce from her husband in court, claiming that her husband had never been harsh with her and that he loved her too much.
The woman admitted that her husband started cleaning the house without any instruction from her and she and he also prepared food for him.
The woman said that her husband was very obedient to her, did not give her a chance to say anything and did everything without any discussion with her.
The woman described her obedience and excessive love and respect as a punishment for not obeying her husband’s orders.
The woman has taken a stand in the petition that she is still longing to quarrel or argue with her husband after marriage.
The woman said that her life has become a torment because of her husband’s love and doing everything and she no longer wants to be with him.
According to the report, after the wife filed for divorce, the husband said in a statement submitted to the court that he wanted her to be an obedient husband.
The woman’s husband told the court that he had been advised by several friends and relatives to be harsh with his wife, but did not want to do so.
The husband revealed in his statement that one day a few months after the marriage, his wife scolded him for being overweight, after which he exercised hard, which resulted in a leg injury.
The husband told the court that he would advise his wife to withdraw her application and that the decision to dissolve any marriage could not be taken in a short time.
According to the report, the court rejected the woman’s request and ordered the two to take a decision by mutual consent.
