Achieving collective immunity or herd immunity against the novice coronavirus in a large part of the population is almost impossible because in most patients the antibodies that resist the disease disappear within a few weeks.
This was revealed in a medical study in Spain.
Herd immunity or collective immunity means that a large part of a country’s population is exposed to the virus in order to develop resistance to the virus, which, after recovery, contains immune antibodies against the disease.
For this study, the Spanish government sought the services of its leading epidemiologists to find out what percentage of the population had antibodies to the corona virus.

Research published in the medical journal The Lancet found that only 5% of the country’s population could develop antibodies to prevent the virus.
This is at a time when Spain is one of the few major countries to be infected with the corona virus.
The study also found that in the first stage, corona virus antibodies tested positive in 14% of people, but those antibodies disappeared a few weeks later.
The researchers said that the immunity is incomplete and it seems that it lasts for a very short time and then disappears.
He added that the results also showed that antibodies were present for a very short time in patients with mild or no symptoms of Code 19.
According to him, every person who has tested positive for antibodies should not think that he is safe.
Simply put, corona virus patients may be at risk of re-infection with code 19.

Earlier, research reports in the United States and China also found that collective resistance was not possible.
Spanish experts say that in light of the results, we can say that any proposed strategy for achieving collective resistance is not only highly unethical but also unattainable.
The study tested antibodies to more than 61,000 people who had contracted the corona virus, and the results rejected the notion of collective immunity.
An earlier study in Sweden in May found that only 7.3% of people in Stockholm were able to make antibodies, even though there was no strict lockdown.
Medical experts have called the strategy an attempt to achieve collective immunity, but new research findings no longer make that possible.
