Cairo: An Egyptian youth has quit his job and started extracting scorpion venom from which he is earning millions.
The young Egyptian has a high degree in archeology, but this year the number of Egyptian tourists has dropped dramatically in the wake of the Corona epidemic. On the other hand, he was not satisfied with the fixed salary of the archaeologist and said goodbye. They then venture into the deserts, deserts, and coastal areas of the country, where they catch and collect suitable scorpions.
Mohammad Hamidi is currently only 25 years old and owns the Cairo Venom Company. There are thousands of different types of small and large scorpions and snakes in their laboratories. There are 80,000 scorpions in the laboratories alone, which have also been collected from the deserts and fields of Egypt.
According to Mohammad Hamidi, many scorpions are usually found in one place at night and when they are exposed to ultraviolet rays in the dark, they emit a particularly bright color. They are brought to the laboratory and given a light current. In response to this current, they become active and release their toxins which are collected.
The price of a gram of poison in the international market is up to ten thousand dollars, whose customers are pharmaceutical companies in Germany, Europe and the United States. If only one gram of poison is recovered in a crystalline state, it can produce 20,000 to 50,000 doses of antiviral or antidote.
But this poison not only works to make anti-venom medicine but also plays an important role in making medicine for the long chains of proteins in it, cancer, blood pressure and other diseases. Leaf nose viper venom found only in Balochistan is in great demand all over the world. Some of its poison sells for up to several thousand dollars.
