Movies usually tell stories that are not very relevant to the real world.
But there are often events in the real world that are even more bizarre than movie stories and are inspired by the film.
Hard to believe, but Mehran Karimi Nasiri, an Iranian, was trapped in Terminal One at Charles de Gaulle Airport in France from 1988 to 2006, sitting on a red plastic bench.

He was deported during the Iranian Revolution.
This happened in 1988 when they lost their travel documents because their briefcase had been allegedly stolen.

He was on a flight to London at the time, but was deported to France and arrested for failing to issue a passport to British immigration officials, but was released and allowed to enter the airport.
Since he could not return to any country, he started living in Terminal One of the airport and stayed there for 18 years and left in July 2006 when he fell ill.
He later stayed close to the hotel, moved to a center in 2007 and has been living in a Paris shelter since 2008.
During his stay at the airport for so many years, he was given the nickname of Sir Alfred and became so weak mentally that he was not even ready to communicate with the real world.
He was offered asylum in 1999 but refused to sign because he wanted to have Sir Alfred’s name written on the documents.
During his long stay there, he never saw the open sky or breathed in the fresh air.
Inspired by this amazing event, the film ‘The Terminal’ by the legendary director Steven Spielberg was made.

The film stars Tom Hanks in the lead role and is a very interesting film that tells the story of a man who was stranded at the airport for years and overcame all obstacles to conquer.
Released in 2004, the film still fascinates viewers and teaches them that only those who do not give up in adversity can move forward in life.

In the film, Victor Nawarski (Tom Hanks) from Eastern Europe is forced to stay at New York Airport when a coup takes place in his hometown and the country’s existing airports are suspended in the United States.
His airport and air ticket are snatched away and when he has no choice, Victor is forced to stay in the terminal at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport with no luggage.
Frank Dixon, the interim customs director there, wants to get Victor out of the airport, but his views gradually change and Victor finds himself in the transit lounge as a free man.
He doesn’t go out of the airport even when he gets a chance and he completes all the routines and staying there constantly makes friends with people while English also improves.
During this time, he would go to the passport counter every day and fill out the form, but it was rejected every time, because he did not have the money to buy food by doing small things to meet the needs.

There he also falls in love with an airhostess whom he tries to impress, at first he hides the truth but later reveals the truth that he came to America to fulfill his father’s wish. Wanted to get people’s autographs.
Days and nights pass like this during which many of his best friends are made and when and how he gets out of there and goes home, he can know only by watching this movie.

Steven Spielberg had previously directed Catch Me If You Can in 2002 and he wanted to work on another film that would make people laugh and cry and make the world feel good.
A set was prepared for the film’s refusal to provide facilities at the airports, which was first installed at the LA Regional Airport, but was moved to the Montreal airport due to the rush of people there.
Everything on the set of the film was kept like a real airport, food and beverage centers were set up, accelerators were bought from a bankrupt department store, while the outlets of the companies in the film were the sponsors of the real company.
In the film, Victor’s country does not exist in the world, but it was created for the film.
DreamWorks Studios paid Mehran Karimi Naseeri 3 300,000 to get the rights to the story of the film, which he deposited in the airport post office account and did not spend.
