Leading actress of Pakistani film industry Zara Sheikh has now stepped into the drama industry after acting on the big screen.
Actress Zara Sheikh is making her TV screen debut with director Wajahat Rauf’s play ‘Raqs-e-Bismal’, which will be aired soon.
Basmal Dance is not only Zara Sheikh’s first drama but also director Wajahat Rauf’s first TV project after a gap of 5 years.
Actress Zara Sheikh recently shared a photo of the first day of shooting of the drama on the photo and video sharing app Instagram.
Zara Sheikh and producer Shazia Wajahat can be seen together in the photo released on Instagram.
In the caption of the post, Zara Sheikh wrote that the first day of the shoot of the TV drama ‘Raqs-e-Basmal’ with producer Shazia Wajahat.
In the same post, he also expressed good wishes for the director of the play and the team.
However, Zara Sheikh did not say anything in her post about what role she is going to play in her first play.
It may be recalled that before her debut in the drama industry, Zara Sheikh had appeared in the romantic comedy film ‘Heer Man Ja’ after a long hiatus from acting last year.
On the other hand, actor Wajahat Rauf while releasing the poster of the same drama on social media said that he is directing the drama after 5 years which will soon be aired on private channel ‘Hum TV’.
The story of ‘Raqs Bismal’ is written by Hashim Nadeem, a well-known Pakistani writer, in which actors Imran Ashraf and Sara Khan are playing the lead roles.
The first glimpse of both the main actors in the play has also been released.
However, director Wajahat Rauf has not yet commented on when the drama will air.
