WHO expresses concern over India’s claim to develop corona vaccine

New Delhi: The World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed concern over India’s claim to have developed the corona vaccine by August 15, saying there is no possibility of developing the vaccine so soon.

According to Indian media, Dr. Balaram Bhargava, head of the Indian Council of Medical Research, had claimed that the corona vaccine would be developed by August 15 in collaboration with India Biotech India and that all human trials of the drug called “covacin” would be completed. After which the vaccine will be available in the market.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed concern over the rapid development of the vaccine, saying it is important to meet pre-determined stages and maintain standards for vaccine preparation, which is not possible in such a short period of time.
Indian experts Dr Shankar Joshi and Dr Anant Bhan have termed the claim as ridiculous and said that bargaining on quality should not be accepted. The new vaccine has to go through three stages of preparation and trial, which take a total of one year and three months, after which the vaccine begins to hit the market.

On the other hand, due to poor performance of Modi government, 24,850 new cases of corona virus have been confirmed in India during the last 24 hours, after which the number of COD-19 patients in India so far has increased to 673,000 and 165. And India has become the fourth most affected country in the world by Corona.
