In order to stabilize the exchange rate and save the dollars, the Bangladeshi government canceled the dance concert of the Moroccan-born Bollywood dancer Nora Fatehi.
Nora Fatihi has made a unique place in a very short time in the Arab world including South Asian countries and Europe with her wonderful dance performances.
She was recently seen performing with Arab dancers in the official song of the Football World Cup and next month she will be seen performing in Qatar at the opening ceremony of the World Cup.
Noora Fatihi has been performing dance concerts in European, Middle Eastern and Asian countries, as well as promoting fitness through dance classes and was scheduled to perform in the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka.
According to the American magazine ‘Bloomberg’, Noora Fatihi was supposed to perform in Dhaka on October 18 this month and her show was scheduled, but the government issued orders to cancel her show a few days ago.
The Bangladesh Ministry of Culture confirmed the cancellation of Noora Fatihi’s dance event and said the dancer was scheduled to perform at a Women’s Leadership Corporation event, the report said.

The Ministry of Culture, referring to the Central Bank of Bangladesh, said that due to government policies, the central bank refused to pay the dancer in dollars, saying that the country already has low foreign exchange reserves, so the dancer should be paid in dollars. Cannot provide compensation.
Organizers paid Nora Fatihi in dollars, but it was not known how much the dancer was to be paid.
The report further stated that Bangladesh’s reserves had dwindled to $36 billion as of October 12 and the government has also started talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to take a loan.
