Pakistani model, actress and singer Zhalay Sarhadi has clarified her statement regarding the appointment of Isra Belgich, who played the role of Halima Sultan in the Turkish drama Ertugrul Ghazi, as the ambassador of the Pakistani brand and said that no one listened to me.
It may be recalled that ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ has been translated into Urdu and is being aired on PTV from the first of Ramadan and this drama has surpassed Pakistani dramas by setting new records of popularity.
While the Pakistani people were happy with the story of the play and the performance of the actors, some personalities of the showbiz industry had also expressed their displeasure over the show being aired on PTV, while some were happy with the drama based on Islamic conquests. In this regard, actor Shaan Shahid and actress Reema had also expressed anger over the airing of the Turkish drama, after which Yasir Hussain had also criticized the issue of airing ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ on PTV and said that Linde’s clothes and Turkish dramas are a disaster for the Pakistani industry.
Later, actor Yasir Hussain also opposed the appointment of Turkish actress Isra Belgich as ambassador of Pakistani brand and said that she was made a star by Pakistanis.

After which, a video of Jale Sarhadi went viral in the last few days in which the actress opposed the appointment of Isra Belgich as the ambassador of Pakistani brand and called the appointment of a Turkish actress as the ambassador of local brands a slap in the face.
In the viral video, Jale Sarhadi had said why bring artists from another country? Why not work with artists here?
“What are the people here afraid of and I am fully with Yasir Hussain in this matter,” he said.
However, on this statement, Zhalay Sarhadi was severely criticized on social media, after which he explained about his statement and said that the context of my speech was made viral but no one listened to the whole thing.
After which he talked about it on his YouTube channel ‘Zhalay Sarhadi Talks’ and said that recently I gave an interview in which, I said that we have a slap in the face if we ask an outside celebrity to Become an ambassador of the country’s brands.
Talking about this, Jale Sarhadi added that the slap in the face was because we do not give preference to our artists and we prefer foreign artists and their dramas which would attract foreign actors and celebrities.
“These foreign artists are already known around the world, and then our people like them,” he said.
The actress said that her statement was made a headline and the same headline went viral but no one listened to my whole story as to why I said that.
“I did not criticize anyone but myself, but it was misinterpreted and made viral,” Zhalay Sarhadi said.
The actress added that if people had read the whole story, the story would never have gone viral.
He also spoke in support of the US Alliance, but said that maintaining some independence was not the only option.
However, he reiterated that he believed in his people and preferred them.
