New Zealand’s Greg Barclay elected new ICC chairman

Dubai: New Zealand Cricket chief executive Greg Barclay has been elected the new chairman of the International Cricket Council.

Greg Barclay, a well-known Auckland-based commercial lawyer and chief executive of New Zealand Cricket since 2012, will step down after being elected ICC chairman.

Greg Barclay thanked the members for their support and vowed to work together to promote the game, hoping that the international cricket community would be able to overcome the Corona epidemic. ۔

Barclays thanked Imran Khawaja, who served as acting chairman, and said that he had done well in difficult times and would continue to benefit from his experience.
