Karachi: Morning show host and actress Nadia Khan has ridiculed the actors of the present era and said that acting is not necessary to become an actor now, just the number of followers should be more, the more followers you have, the more work you will get.
Nadia Khan recently participated in the online show “To Be Honest 2.0” where she answered the questions of the show host Tabish in a very humorous manner. During the interview, Nadia Khan said that she was offered the film by Indian actor Mahesh Bhatt and singer Bapi Lahri but she had no interest in working in the film so she flatly refused.
During the show, the host mentioned the names of actress Urva Hussain, Ayesha Umar, Armina Rana Khan and Imran Khan and asked Nadia Khan which of them should quit acting? Nadia Khan did not say which of them should quit acting but she replied, “It is necessary, if acting comes, will you get a job?”
Nadia Khan satirized the artists of the present day and said that nowadays it has nothing to do with the fact that if actors are doing dramas then they should come to acting. You have to be popular on social media. You should have millions of followers on social media. You should come to buy followers. You buy good followers and pay a company monthly for your photos to appear on social media.
Nadia Khan termed social media followers instead of good acting as the criterion for judging acting in the present era and said that nowadays this criterion of getting a job on TV is (popularity on social media) what is the need of acting. So I tell some people to quit acting.
