Mumbai: Leading comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Lambachia have been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau of India (NCB) in connection with an investigation into alleged drug use in Bollywood.
According to reports, a drug dealer had mentioned Bharti Singh’s name during interrogation and a team from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided the Lokhandwala complex in Andheri, the residence of comedian Bharti Singh, where some drugs were recovered.

After finding drugs at the residence of comedian Bharti Singh, the Anti-Narcotics Department of India (NCB) arrested her and her husband Harsh Lambachia, who are being further questioned.
Background of the Shant Singh case
Bollywood actor Shashant Singh was found dead in his room on June 14 this year. Despite finding his trapped body, the case is being investigated for murder and use of illicit drugs.

The investigation also found evidence of drug use and sale in Bollywood, after which the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of India’s anti-drug department arrested Sashant’s girlfriend Riya Chakraborty and her brother.
Leading actors are also being called in for questioning and their homes are being raided. Leading actresses Deepika Padukone, Sara Khan and Shardha Kapoor besides other artists were also questioned.
