Artificial intelligence that ‘thinks’ and diagnoses like doctors

London: The use of artificial intelligence (AI) is now becoming common in the world of medicine, but especially in the diagnosis of the disease was not yielding significant results. Now experts have created a brand new AI system that will think like doctors and make decisions like that.

The new system of artificial intelligence developed by University College London and Babylon Health Company will look at the root causes of the disease rather than the relationship between the two. Thus, this system is slightly better than all the existing systems and in some places it has even beaten the real doctors. This is revealed in a small practical survey.

Ordinary systems of artificial intelligence decide on the patient’s symptoms, but the new software thinks like doctors and helps to get to the root of the disease by asking questions like them. The data obtained during this period is analyzed.
The software’s creator, Kieran Gulgan, said the disease detection system considers all patient conditions and makes better decisions.

Original case, artificial doctor

Behind this artificial intelligence system is the original record of 1671 patients, which has been written with great effort by more than 20 doctors over the years. They have developed all this information in a systematic way that has been incorporated into the artificial intelligence algorithm.

If a good British doctor sees 159 patients, the rate of correct treatment and diagnosis can be a little over 71%. However, in a small study, the AI system understood the disease with 77% accuracy and paved the way for the right treatment.
