LAHORE: Leading singer Ali Zafar has made significant progress in the case registered against Mesha Shafi and others in the Cyber Crime Wing. The Cyber Crime Wing has interrogated four accused.

The cyber crime wing has interrogated actress and model Effat Omar, Fareeha Ayub, Shehzad Raza and Hamza Raza. However, the cyber crime wing has not yet sent a notice to Mesha Shafi. Sources in the Cyber Crime Wing say that Mesha Shafi is abroad.
On the other hand, all the four accused involved in the investigation have denied any wrongdoing. “We uploaded the status on our social media accounts on public opinion,” the accused said in a statement. Actress Effat Omar says that we did not post to hurt anyone.

It should be noted that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had registered a case against singer and actor Ali Zafar last month against 9 people including Mesha Shafi and Effat Omar for hate campaign on social media and their character assassination. ۔
