A wax statue of Bollywood actor Shashant Singh Rajput, who apparently committed suicide due to depression on June 14 this year, was decorated in a museum three months after his death.
According to India Today, a tall wax statue of Shashant Singh Rajput was decorated in a museum in the Indian state of West Bengal.
A statue of Shashant Singh Rajput has been unveiled at the local museum in Asansol, West Bengal, which already houses statues of Bollywood stars, athletes, politicians and celebrities.
The statue of Sashant Singh Rajput was made by Indian sculptor Sasanta Ray, who had earlier made statues of Amitabh Bachchan, Virat Kohli and Shah Rukh Khan and decorated them in the museum.
Thousands of fans flocked to the museum after a wax statue of Shant Singh Rajput was placed in the museum, while the sculptor also shared a video of the actor’s statue being installed on social media.
The wax statue of Shashant Singh Rajput has been decorated in a local museum in India at a time when fans had demanded that his wax statue be decorated at the famous Madame Tussauds Museum in London a week ago.
By the afternoon of September 18, more than 200,000 people had signed the online petition launched by the Change Organization to decorate the statue of Shant Singh Rajput.
The online petition called on the management of Madame Tussauds to adorn the museum with a statue of a talented and young actor.
At the same time, the film journey of Shashant Singh Rajput was also brought before the world in the petition.
It may be recalled that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently investigating the suicide case of Shashant Singh Rajput.
The CBI had launched an investigation into the case in mid-August last year, after which Mumbai police investigated the actor’s suicide as an accidental death.
Although the actor apparently committed suicide, most Indians and their families believe he was forced to commit suicide.
Most of the allegations against Shashant Singh for forcing him to commit suicide and blackmailing him are being leveled against his ex-girlfriend actress Riya Chakraborty.
When questioned by the CBI, they had revealed that Shashant Singh Rajput used drugs and she used to arrange drugs for him.

Following the drug case in the Sashant Singh case, the CBI had directed the Narcotics Bureau to probe the matter, which interrogated Riya Chakraborty for three consecutive days and later arrested her on September 9 and sent her to a Mumbai jail.
The actress is currently in Mumbai’s Byculla Jail on a 22-day judicial remand
