Cape Town: A woman in South Africa broke the record of a Mali woman by giving birth to ten children at the same time and entered her name in the Guinness Book of World Records.
According to the international news agency, 37-year-old Gosyame Thamara from South Africa was told by a doctor during her pregnancy that she was going to have an abnormal birth, but she did not know that it was going to become a world record.
The lady doctor had told the woman by performing ultrasound during pregnancy that 8 children were in the womb but on the day of delivery the woman gave birth to 10 children including 7 boys and 3 girls.
The woman did not need any surgery to give birth to ten children. Mother and baby are well after normal delivery. Gossamese is already the mother of twins, bringing the total number of children to 12.
It should be noted that a woman in Mali gave birth to 9 children last month, while in 2012, an Indian woman gave birth to 11 children, but these children were born through IVF.
