Zaka Ashraf described the administrative affairs of the board as disappointing

Zaka Ashraf described the management of the PCB as disappointing while the former chairman said that there was grouping in the board.

Speaking on the program “Cricket Corner with Saleem Khaliq” on Pakistan Cricket’s largest website www.cricketpakistan.com.pk, former chairman Zaka Ashraf said that he was disappointed with the way the PCB was being run. Yes, a handful of people are handling all the affairs, there is grouping in the board, cricket is not visible at the grassroots level including clubs, the domestic structure is also in a state of disrepair, if things are not improved then where is the new talent? Will come from?

He said that the reason for the PSL’s delay was the poor management of the PCB. If a system had been set up, it would not have happened at all. After testing all the cricketers and support staff members, the bio-bubble was so safe. Assuming that there was no interference from an unauthorized person, if all precautions had been taken, the event could have avoided the huge damage caused by the postponement.
The former chairman said that the selection of any team should not be done without the consensus of the captain and coach, unilateral decisions would be very detrimental to Pakistan cricket, the selection of players should be on merit, if a young cricketer is selected. So in my time selectors, coaches and captains were all asked to make a list, then it was my turn to ask and answer what if someone was taken or dropped. There is a reason.

It is not right to call Sharjeel tainted, Sethi imposed wrong ban

Zaka Ashraf speaks in support of Sharjeel Khan, former PCB chairman says it is not right to call the opener tainted, former board chairman Najam Sethi took the case in the wrong way and banned Sharjeel without any evidence He is a talented cricketer, he also performed well in PSL, I think players should be selected on merit not on their tainted past but on the basis of their performance, if anyone can do well for Pakistan then Must be part of the team.

Pak-India cricket matches should be held regularly

Zaka Ashraf has been a staunch supporter of Pak-India cricket matches. Gandhi had suggested holding the series, which would have improved diplomatic relations between the two countries and would have given the people a lot of fun with great cricket, but Indian board officials were hesitant because of extremist leaders like Narendra Modi.

He said that Pak-India competitions are the lifeblood of cricket, if not in each other’s countries then at least competitions should continue at neutral venues
