World T20 and ODI rankings, Babar Azam remains at the top

Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the T20I and ODI rankings, in which Babar Azam remains at the top spot.

In the ODI rankings released by the International Cricket Council, Babar Azam is first with 892 points, Imamul Haq is second with 815 points and South Africa’s Rasi Wan is at third place after advancing three places.

Indian batsman Virat Kohli’s ranking dropped one notch after which he reached the fourth position, followed by Rohit Sharma at fifth, South Africa’s de Kock at sixth, Ross Taylor at seventh, David Warner at eighth and ninth, tenth respectively. Jonny Bristow and Aaron Finch remained.

In the ranking of ODI bowlers, New Zealand’s Trent Boult is first, India’s Jasprit Bumrah is second and Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi is third.

In the ICC T20 ranking, Babar Azam is first with 818 points, Mohammad Rizwan is second with 794 points, South Africa’s Aiden Markram is third, England’s David Milan is fourth and Indian batsman Surya Kumar Yadav is fifth.

Aaron Finch (Australia), Dion Conway (New Zealand), Nicholas Puran (West Indies), Sri Lanka’s Patham Nissanka, South Africa’s Reci Wain were ranked sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth respectively.

If we talk about T20 batting, there are three Pakistani players in the top fifty, apart from Babar and Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman is ranked 43rd.

No Pakistani bowler is included in the top ten of the T20I bowlers’ ranking, but England’s Adil Rashid was at the first place. In the ranking of all-rounders, Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi, Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh) and Moeen Ali were ranked first, second and third respectively, while Shaheen Afridi was ranked 12th, Shadab Khan 17th, Haris Rauf 27th, Imad Wasim 44th, Muhammad Nawaz 61st, Hassan Ali 65th and Faheem Ashraf 97th.
