Tik Tok announces to go to court against Trump administration’s decision

Byte Dance, the company that owns the video-sharing application TuckTok, has said it will go to court against an executive order issued by US President Donald Trump.

According to CNN, Byte Dance, the owner of Tuck Tok, said in a statement on August 22 that the company had no choice but to go to court against the Trump administration.

Bite Dance said in a statement that US law protects its company and its customers from being treated fairly, so they have a right to self-defense.

The company said in a statement that Bite Dance would file a lawsuit against the Trump administration in a US court early next week.

The British newspaper The Guardian quoted AFP as saying that Bite Dance had been working with the administration for the past year to address the US government’s concerns.

The Chinese company dismissed concerns that the Trump administration’s data could be used for espionage, saying it did not agree with the Trump administration’s orders.

The Chinese company is expected to file a lawsuit against the Trump administration in a US court by August 25.

US President Donald Trump issued an executive order on August 6 this month, giving TuckTuck a 45-day deadline to sell its US assets to another US company.

The presidential decree stated that if Chinese applications were not sold to a US company within the next 45 days, they would be banned in the United States.

TuckTalk was given a deadline of September 15, 2020, but later on August 16, the Trump administration extended the deadline by another 45 days.

A new order issued by the US president on August 16, citing national security concerns, instructed Byte Dance to sell its business in the United States to a US company within the next 90 days.

Microsoft, Apple, Twitter and Oracle have also expressed interest in buying TuckTalk’s US assets after the US President issued an executive order banning TickTalk.

The US government, and in particular President Donald Trump, has called tick-tock a threat to US security and has banned the use of tick-tack by US government and military officials.

Donald Trump and US officials have claimed that TikTak provides US user data to the Chinese government and its intelligence agencies, but the video-sharing application, the administration, denies the allegations.

TikTak is one of the most popular apps in the United States and has been downloaded about 180 million times so far, while it has been downloaded more than a billion times globally.
