The target of the series on Salahuddin Ayubi is more non-Muslims than Muslims, producers

Junaid Ali Shah, a producer with Pakistan’s Ansari & Shah Films, has said that the drama series on the life of Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi is aimed at non-Muslims who are unaware of the deeds of Muslim rulers.

In an interview given to Independent Urdu, the producer and Dr. Junaid Ali Shah said that under the initial plan, this historical series will consist of three seasons and each season will have 34 episodes.

Dr. Junaid Ali Shah said that more than Muslims, the target of this historical drama series is 6 billion non-Muslims who are unaware of the deeds of Muslim rulers.

Replying to a question, Dr. Junaid Ali Shah said that Pakistani dramas are not moving beyond the issues of mother-in-law’s quarrels, superficial issues, stagnation and the quality is not such that it can be shown to the world.

He said that not only artists but also technical staff and other departments would work together in the drama series on the life of Salahuddin Ayubi.

Referring to the idea of ​​this drama series, Dr. Kashif Ansari said, “The idea of ​​making a series on the life of Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi came about because he was a promising and undisputed ruler in the history of Muslims who was mentioned along with Muslims. Non-Muslims also do it with respect.

Dr. Kashif Ansari said that this drama series is not only for Muslims or Pakistan and Turkish population but also to show the world that there was a Muslim ruler whose opponents also appreciated his courage, justice, bravery and equality.

Dr. Kashif Ansari said that Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi, who ruled Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Diyarbakir and Hijaz for a long time, has become an anonymous figure among today’s young generation and Muslims.

He said that in this series, more attention has been paid to the Qur’an, history and religious harmony, which will make it clear that a system of empire can be run under the principles of the Holy Qur’an which can be considered acceptable in all religions. Is.

Regarding the collaboration with the Turkish company for the historical drama series, Dr. Kashif Ansari said that “the approach of single films and our idea is similar”.

He said that he has both experience and seriousness in making historical dramas, so it was decided to work with him in this joint project.

Dr. Kashif Ansari said that in this way Pakistan will learn by being a part of world class production and later we will be able to produce the same quality alone.

“We are currently working with the world’s number one film industry because during the global Corona virus epidemic, work in Hollywood and Bollywood was almost non-existent and earnings were almost zero, while the Turkish film industry also started shooting.” Zorro continued with a bang.

He further said that Ertugrul’s sequel Korlish Usman came to the fore during Corona and the Turkish film industry also made good money.

Regarding the story of the drama series, Dr. Kashif Ansari said that currently scriptwriters are writing the script of this series with the help of Turkish historians, researchers and writers.

He hoped that the work would be completed by September next year and the screen test phase would begin when the characters come forward.

Dr. Kashif Ansari said that in this series, screen test will be taken on the basis of merit and the artist with whom the character will be able to do justice will be selected.

He said that no character has already been selected for the series but the cast of the series will include artists from both the countries.

Regarding the popularity of Salahuddin Ayubi in non-Muslim society, Dr. Kashif Ansari said that Salahuddin Day is celebrated on June 9 every year in Norway.

He also said that Richard of England One, who fought Salahuddin Ayubi and was known as Line Heart, said that if I had ever honored any of my enemies from the heart, he was Salahuddin.

It may be recalled that last week, drama and film production companies of Pakistan and Turkey had announced to make a TV series on the life of Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi.

The agreement between the production companies of the two countries was reached on August 20 in Serbia and Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui was also present at the time of the agreement.
