LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to use the services of former captain Younis Khan, who served as the batting coach during the tour of England, in the future as well.
According to sources, Younis Khan, the batting coach of the national team, will have an important meeting with the board officials next week, in which he will be consulted on assigning more responsibilities. In this meeting, Younis Khan will be given a long-term contract.
PCB chairman Ehsan Mani and chief executive Wasim Khan, in consultation with other officials, have agreed to make Younis Khan’s role in improving national cricket more effective. In addition, Younis Khan’s experience at the junior level will also be used.
Younis Khan described working with national cricketers as a wonderful experience and expressed his desire to work in the future as well. Younis Khan’s presence was also very useful by the team members along with head coach Misbah.
