T20 World Cup moves from India to UAE

Dubai: The scheduled T20 World Cup in India has been shifted to the United Arab Emirates this year.

According to the popular cricket website (Cric Info), the scheduled Indian Premier League in the UAE will be completed by October 15, after which the T20 World Cup matches will start from October 17.

The T20 World Cup matches will be played in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, 30 matches will be played in the event, 12 teams will be divided into 2 groups while the event file will be played on November 14. The first round matches will be against UAE in Oman.
In this regard, the Indian board has to formally write for the transfer of the World Cup to the United Arab Emirates. According to the proposed program, the matches of the Super 12 stage will start from October 24.

The ICC had given a deadline of June 1 to the Indian board to provide details of the venues for the matches. After the Indian Premier League was postponed due to increasing cases of Corona in India, the demand for the transfer of the T20 World Cup to the UAE also began to gain momentum. Expected in a few days.
