Restrictions on all companies using a single charging port for smartphones

All the companies in the world now have to use the same mobile charging port for phones, tablets and cameras.

The European Parliament and its member states have agreed to use a single mobile charging port, and the ban will take effect in 2024.

This is the first such agreement in the world and it happened at a time when companies could not agree on a single solution.

The iPhone is charged with a lightning cable, while for Android, most phones now use USBBC connectors for charging.

Terry Breton, an EU official, said in a statement that using a USB Type-C port on all devices alone would save consumers 26 267 million.

A statement issued by the European Parliament said that from the fall of 2024, USB Type-C will be the charging port for all mobile phones, tablets and cameras in the European Union, otherwise the devices will not be allowed to be sold.

The ban in the European Union will benefit the whole world, while Apple will have to replace the charging connectors for the sale of its iPhones.

Keep in mind that there are reports that Apple is testing the USB port in iPhones which may be introduced in 2023.

The reports also claim that Apple is developing an adapter that will make it possible to use lighting connector accessories in new iPhones equipped with a USB port.
