Pakistan leads the region in mobile internet speed

Although Pakistani users complain about the slow speed of mobile internet, according to a report by an international organization that monitors internet speed, Pakistan is ahead of other countries in the region.

According to the 2022 speed test report of Okla, an American multinational organization that monitors internet speed, Pakistan is ahead of other countries in the region in terms of mobile internet, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

In the report, 139 countries have been included in the speed of mobile internet, in which Pakistan is ranked 116th.

Afghanistan and Bangladesh are among the 10 worst countries in the world for mobile internet.

The report stated that the average download speed of internet on mobile in Pakistan is 14.63 Mbps while the average upload speed is 9.38 Mbps which is higher than other countries in the region.

Surprisingly, even in India, which is many times ahead of Pakistan in terms of internet technology devices and systems, mobile internet speed is slow and it is two steps behind Pakistan in the list.

India is ranked 118th in the above list while Sri Lanka is ranked 121st, Bangladesh is ranked 130th while Afghanistan is ranked 138th, meaning Afghanistan is ranked second among the worst countries.

Similarly, the report shows that Pakistan lags far behind its neighboring country India in terms of brand-band internet speed.

In terms of Brand Band or Fixed Internet, Pakistan is ranked 150 out of 182 countries while India is ranked 72nd in this list.

In this list, only Afghanistan is behind Pakistan in speed, while Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are also far ahead of Pakistan in fixed internet speed.

Norway has the fastest mobile internet speed in Europe, followed by United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bulgaria in third place.

Among the 10 best countries in terms of mobile internet speed, Qatar is at the fifth position, Kuwait is at the seventh position and Saudi Arabia is at the ninth position, while China is at the tenth position.

Similarly, in terms of fixed internet speed, the American country of Chile is at number one and there is not a single Muslim country in the top 10 countries in this category.

UAE ranks 15th, Kuwait 20th, and Saudi Arabia 38th in terms of brand-band internet speed.
