Osman Ghazi second wife Malhun Hawtun

Malhun Hawtun was the first Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. He is best known as the founder of the Ottoman Empire for popularizing the tribe and establishing it as a new kingdom in 1299. Hawtun was born in Bursa in 1281. He was a member of a tribe called the Ghazi Oghuz who migrated to western Anatolia from east Turkistan due to the Mongol invasion. Malhun Hautun led his tribe from Bithynia to Iznik (now Izmit) and established his base there. Then they fortified it with walls and towers and made it their capital.

Adopting Muslim beliefs and rituals, the tribe was known as the Ottomans or Ottomans – because they were the subjects of the Byzantine Emperors at the time. The land around Iznik is rich in natural resources such as timber, minerals, salt and waterfalls which are suitable for factories and small factories. This made them very attractive places for the settlement of the native Turks who distrusted the Byzantines and Christian refugees who fled Bulgaria after the defeat of Bulgaria by the Ottomans. The Ottomans welcomed these settlers and gave them land rights instead of forcing them into slavery as other landowners did at that time. This allowed them to develop an economy based on labor rather than slavery or slavery, which set them apart from other landowners in their area and helped them build wealth faster than anyone else.
