RAWALPINDI: A security forces vehicle collided with an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by terrorists in North Waziristan, killing three personnel including an officer and injuring four others.
The terrorists planted an improvised explosive device (IED) on the side of the road, according to the army’s public relations department, ISPR. The IED blast took place at Shaganshpa Road in the garrison sector. The security forces were on duty to provide security to the road construction team in Gharium when their vehicle collided with an improvised explosive device while on duty.
According to ISPR, Lt. Nasir Hussain, Naik Mohammad Imran and soldier Usman Akhtar were martyred while four other security personnel were injured in the incident. Security forces have cordoned off the area and a search operation is underway in the area.
ISPR says Lieutenant Nasir Hussain Shaheed was a promising cadet. He performed exceptionally well in the PMA. Lt. Nasir Hussain Shaheed was sent to Royal Military Academy Dantron Australia to complete his training.
