Negotiations with international government agencies for early acquisition of corona vaccine

ISLAMABAD: Although the situation with Code 19 is deteriorating across the country, the government is in talks with top vaccine makers around the world to buy it as soon as possible.

According to the Dawn newspaper, the government is in close contact with the Global Vaccine Group and the Global Vaccine Coalition, which will hold talks to provide a fair amount of vaccines to the Pakistani people soon.

“Although we are working with China on the third phase of the vaccine trial, we are also talking to all the leading organizations working on the vaccine,” National Health Services spokesman Sajid Shah told Dawn. So that Pakistan can get this vaccine as soon as possible.

He said the government was making effective arrangements for an effective supply chain of vaccines and the need for manpower.

Code 19 has devastated the global health system and economy and is an effective long-term vaccine against the deadly virus, according to a statement from the ministry.

The statement said that global efforts to develop the vaccine in the shortest possible time from January 2020 are in progress, with the initial news of a potentially effective vaccine in this scenario making good progress. Although these results look encouraging, the full range of test data is awaited and only the availability and review of this data will be able to clarify the situation, in the meantime expect from other vaccine manufacturers as well. He is expected to publish the results of his vaccine experiment on humans in the coming weeks, which will be closely watched by the international community and Pakistani experts. The pace of discovery is unprecedented and reflects the collective global effort to do so.

The statement said that the government of Pakistan has a COD-19 vaccine strategy developed with the help of data and global best practices, under which the government has given priority to groups that receive early vaccine potentials. An expert committee on COD-19 vaccines, comprising experts from the public health and public and private sector infectious diseases, is conducting technical monitoring and review of the trial results. It is in talks with leading manufacturers and has identified well-known candidates for Code-19 for introduction in Pakistan.

In this regard, it was further stated that clinical trials of COD-19 vaccine are also underway in Pakistan which are making satisfactory progress. The Prime Minister has expressed special interest in ensuring quality vaccine for the Pakistani population as soon as possible. Approved specific funds to obtain effective vaccines in principle.

Talking to Dawn, Dr Asim Rauf, Chief Executive Officer, Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan, said that it has been decided to use all possible options to get this vaccine as soon as possible.

He said DRAP was also working to speed up the process of registration without compromising the safety and efficacy of the vaccine.

Meanwhile, the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) on Thursday claimed that 1,808 people tested positive and the number of active cases rose to 22,088.
