Nasty words against Yasir Shah: Broad of England was fined by his father

Stuart Broad, England’s fast bowler, was fined by his father and match referee Chris Broad for violating the rules in the first Test against Pakistan.

Broad has also been fined 15% of the match fee and one negative point for using vulgar language after dismissing Pakistan’s Yasir Shah in the second innings of the first Test.

Remember that England had won this match by 3 wickets.

Stuart Broad pleaded guilty and also accepted Chris Broad’s decision.

Chris Broad is a former batsman for the England cricket team and is now on the ICC’s elite list of match referees while his son has been a part of the team for a long time.

According to the report, Chris Broad does not usually perform his duties in the matches in which his son is playing.

Chris Broad has been named in the England umpires squad following a worldwide travel ban for the corona virus and will officiate a three-match series.

He had earlier served in a three-Test series against the West Indies, which England won 1-2.

Stuart Broad responded to the joke on Twitter by saying that his father was “out of the Christmas card and presenting the list.”

It may be recalled that Stuart Broad had taken 3.3 wickets in the first and second innings of the first Test against Pakistan and had scored an unbeaten 29 in the first innings while he was dismissed for seven in the second innings.

England snatched the match from Pakistan due to the brilliant partnership of Jose Butler and Chris Vokes and won by 3 wickets.

Jose Butler fell victim to Yasir Shah with a brilliant innings of 75 runs but Chris Vokes continued to play well and scored an unbeaten innings of 84 not out off 120 balls to lead the team to victory.

Chris Vokes was named Man of the Match for his outstanding all-round performance.

The second match between the two teams will start on August 13 in Southampton, where England will have a 1-0 lead.
