Multan Test; What unique record did Abrar Ahmed make on debut?

Multan: National cricket team’s leg break spinner Abrar Ahmed has achieved a unique record.

Playing for Pakistan on his debut in the second Test match of the series against England being played at the Multan Cricket Stadium, Abrar Ahmed won the honor of becoming the 13th Pakistani bowler by taking 5 wickets before lunch.

Similarly, he has also become the third Pakistani bowler to take 7 wickets in the debut match against England. The spinner gave away 114 runs in 22 overs on the first day of the Test match. Pope 60, Joe Root 8, Harry Brook 9 skipper Ben Stokes 30, Will Jacks 31 out.

Earlier, Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Sami in 1998, Shabbir Ahmed in 2003, Yasir Arafat in 2007, Wahab Riaz and Tanveer Ahmed in 2010, Bilal Asif in 2018 and Noman Ali in 2021 have made this record.
