The teams participating in the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) finalized their squads and the International Stars also became part of the league.
During the drafting in Islamabad, Shahid Afridi will lead the Rawalakot Hawks, Shoaib Malik Mirpur Royals, Emad Wasim Overseas Warriors, Shadab Khan Bagh Stallions, Fakhar Zaman Kotli Lions and Muhammad Hafeez Muzaffarabad Tigers.
In the overseas category, Herschelle Gibbs, Overseas Warriors, Phil Mustard Bagh Stallions, Matt Prior, Rawalakot Hawks, Owais Shah, Mirpur Royals, Tilakartne, Dilshan, Muzaffarabad, Tigers and Monty Panesar, Kotli Lions were included in the squad.
In the platinum category, Shaun Masood Bagh Stallions, Kamran Akmal Kotli Lions, Sohail Tanveer became part of Muzaffarabad Tigers, Sharjeel Khan was added by Mirpur Royals, Haider Ali and Seas Warriors while Muhammad Hasnain was added by Rawalkot Hawks.
In the diamond category, Sohaib Maqsood Muzaffarabad Tigers, Asif Ali Kotli Lions and Iftikhar Ahmed were included by Bagh Stallions while Khushdal Shah Mirpur, Hussain Talat Rawalkot Hawks and Azam Khan were added to the Cess Warriors.
In the second round of Diamond category, Ahmed Shehzad Rawalkot Hawks, Mohammad Irfan Mirpur Royals and Usman Qadir were made part of Kotli Lions while Mohammad Wasim Jr. became part of Muzaffarabad Tigers, Sohail Khan and Seas Warriors and Ameed Asif Bagh Stallions.
Local Kashmiri talent has been selected in the Kashmir Premier League Emerging category, according to which each team has selected 5 players in the squad, while each team will also include two local players in its XI.
Chairman Kashmir Committee Shehryar Afridi, Wasim Akram and Shahid Afridi attended the Kashmir Premier League drafting ceremony.
Nazmam-ul-Haq, Saeed Ajmal, Abdul Razzaq, Umar Gul and Abdul Rehman were also present on the occasion.
Apart from them, President Kashmir Premier League Arif Malik, CEO Chaudhry Shehzad also attended the function.
