Ireland beat two-time T20 champions to reach Super 12 stage of World Cup

In the T20 World Cup match, Ireland qualified for the Super 12 stage by defeating two-time champions West Indies.

In the match played in Hobart, Ireland completed the target of 147 runs with 15 balls to spare and eliminated the West Indies from the tournament.

On behalf of Ireland, Paul Stirling played an unbeaten innings of 66 runs, while Lorcan Tucker scored 45 runs and Andy Balbrine scored 37 runs.

West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first in the 11th match of the T20 World Cup in Hobart.

The West Indies team scored 146 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. West Indies batsman Brendan King was outstanding with 62 runs off 48 balls.
