I will quit cricket on the day I can’t back down: Junaid Khan

The selectors representing the national team in 22 Tests, 76 ODIs and 9 T20s should talk to the players about their selection and future, which is a professional practice and is done in England and Australia.

“As far as I’m concerned, I can still back less in the Pakistan squad because I have a lot of cricket left, I have no intention of taking a break from any format, I played in the National T20 Cup and I am playing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and I am working hard to make a place in Pakistan team.

It may be recalled that last year, as a protest against not being included in the World Squad, Junaid Khan had posted a picture of himself on social media with a tape on his face, but later deleted the tweet.

Talking about this, Junaid said that the post was a reaction to the fact that I got the news of his expulsion from the team from the media and the selectors did not tell me about it. The experienced players who have served Pakistan cricket are more respected.

The fast bowler said that he would quit cricket on the day he felt he could not back down.

“I have English citizenship and have the option to play county cricket, which will allow me to earn more than what I am earning by playing domestic cricket, but I want to represent and serve Pakistan because this country,” he said. He has given me everything and everything I have got is because of Pakistan.

Junaid Khan said it was a good thing that despite the threat of the corona virus, Pakistan managed to host domestic cricket and then the international series against Zimbabwe.

“To be honest, in the beginning it was difficult to live in a bio-secure bubble and without a family for a long time, but it is important for our cricketers to play consistently because a long break causes a lot of stress for the players,” he said. B has done a great job by organizing regular cricket activities.

Junaid said he was determined to do well for his franchise Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League playoffs and in the current situation, the arrival of international cricketers in Pakistan would be welcome for the betterment of cricket in the country.
