Former Australian cricketer Dean Jones has died in Mumbai

World-renowned Australian batsman Dean Jones has died of a heart attack at the age of 59.

The former Australian cricketer, who served as a commentator for Star India in the Indian Premier League (IPL), died of a heart attack this afternoon.

“We are deeply saddened to announce that Dean Jones has passed away. He died of a heart attack. We offer our condolences to his family and to him during this difficult time,” Star India said in a statement. Are ready to help

After having breakfast on Thursday at 11 am, he took part in a briefing session on IPL broadcasts and was talking to colleagues in the corridor of his hotel in Mumbai.

During the conversation, everyone was shocked when he suddenly fell to the ground, after which he was rushed to Harkshan Das Hospital in an ambulance, where the hospital management said that he had died before coming here.

Dan Jones represented Australia in 59 Tests and 164 ODIs and was a key member of the team that won the World Cup for the first time for Australia in 1987.

After his retirement in 1997-98, he became involved in the commentary sector and also coached various leagues around the world, including the Pakistan Super League.

In the Pakistan Super League, Dean Jones coached Islamabad United and under his coaching United became two-time champions while this year he became associated with Karachi Kings.

Current and former players and teams from all over the world including Pakistan Cricket Board, Cricket Australia, Australia have termed the demise of Dean Jones as a great loss to cricket.

Former great Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar lamented his demise, saying, “A great man passed away a long time ago. I had the opportunity to play against him during my first tour of Australia. I offer my condolences to his family.” Do

National team league spinner Shadab Khan also expressed grief over the death of his first coach.

Indian captain Virat Kohli also offered condolences to the family on his death and said that he was shocked by the death of Dan Jones.
