FIA notice not yet received: Shoaib Akhtar Law Consultant

Former national team fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar’s lawyer has denied rumors that he has received a notice from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), saying he has not received any notice so far.

It should be noted that a war of words is going on between the PCB’s legal adviser and Shoaib Akhtar and Tafzal Rizvi has filed a petition against Shoaib Akhtar in the FIA.

Rumors were circulating in the media that the FIA had sent a notice to Shoaib Akhtar in this regard but Shoaib Akhtar’s lawyer denied this.

Former fast bowler’s lawyer Abuzar Salman said that no notice has been received from the FIA so far.

He said that if the FIA notice is received, then they will decide whether to appear or not.

Shoaib Akhtar’s lawyer added that if the FIA’s notice and summons were against the law, they would challenge it in the High Court.

It may be recalled that the PCB had imposed a three-year ban on former cricketer Umar Akmal for violating the anti-corruption code, on which Shoaib Akhtar had questioned the performance of the board’s legal adviser Tafazul Rizvi.

Talking about the legal department of the PCB, he had said that “the legal department of the PCB is a very incompetent and fallen department in which there is especially Tafzal Rizvi who does not know where it comes from.”

Continuing, he said, “Their relationship is very good and they come from somewhere and have been involved with the PCB for 10, 15 years and God willing, there is no such case that they have.” Has not lost so far, an example of which is my case.

Following Shoaib Akhtar’s analysis, PCB legal adviser Tafazul Rizvi sent him a defamation notice on April 29, asking him to apologize for the ridiculous statement and pay Rs 100 million in damages.

Tafazul Rizvi had said that all the allegations made by Shoaib Akhtar were based on lies and his irresponsible statement had damaged my reputation, so I have applied to the FIA along with the damages.

He had said that the statement of the former fast bowler on social media was seen not only in Pakistan but also abroad so I will file a case against him in the courts of foreign countries as well.

Shoaib Akhtar had admitted that he had received a notice of compensation from Tafzal Rizvi but he stood by his position and announced to respond.

Shoaib Akhtar said that he has received the notice of Tafsal Rizvi which is a lie and fabrication. I stand by my words regarding the incompetence and unsatisfactory performance of Tafsal Rizvi.

After this, Shoaib Akhtar, while responding to the legal notice of Pakistan Cricket Board’s legal adviser Tafazul Rizvi, said that he had been insulted by the allegation, so Tafazul Rizvi should apologize to him.
