Corona epidemic: Azad Kashmir cases more than Gilgit-Baltistan, nearly 258,000 victims in the country

The situation of corona virus in Pakistan is showing some improvement and the number of cases coming in recent days is decreasing as compared to the previous figures.

So far, the number of confirmed cases of Corona virus in the country has reached 257,914 while the death toll has reached 5,426. However, one lakh 78,737 people have recovered from these cases.

As of this morning (July 16), 706 new cases and 9 deaths of corona virus have been reported in the country, while the number of recovering people has also increased by 5,927.

It is believed that the situation of corona virus in the country is showing some improvement but it is too early to say that this virus has been completely controlled.

Although the number of cases is less in July than in June, one of the major reasons is the decrease in the number of tests.

If we take a look at the situation of Corona virus in the country for four and a half months, the first case of Corona virus was reported in Pakistan on February 26.

By the end of March, the number of cases in the country was about 2,000 and the number of deaths was 26, but in April, the number of cases increased and by the 30th, more than 16,000 cases and deaths reached 385.

The situation changed in the month of May and the number of cases increased to 71 thousand and the number of deaths to 1500 in one month, after which the month of June has been the most worrying so far where the number of cases increased to 212 in one month. Thousands more died, more than 4,300.

During the 15 days of July, 45,000 new cases and more than 1,000 deaths have been reported in the country.

Today (July 16) also saw an increase in the number of corona virus cases and deaths in the country.

Punjab

Another 494 new cases and 8 deaths of corona virus were reported in Punjab province.

According to the official data portal, Punjab, the country’s most populous province, had 494 people diagnosed with corona in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 88,539.

In addition, 8 people died there, bringing the total number of deaths in Punjab to 2,051.

Islamabad

The corona virus infected 87 more people and killed one in the federal capital Islamabad.

According to statistics, the total number of cases in Islamabad reached 14,402 as a result of these 87 people being affected.

In addition, the death toll from Corona in the federal capital has risen to 156.

Azad Kashmir

In contrast to the decline in corona virus cases in other parts of the country, the number increased in Azad Kashmir and there were more cases than in Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to official statistics, after 83 more cases in Azad Kashmir, the number of victims increased to 1771.

Gilgit-Baltistan

With more cases in Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan has become the least affected area in the country.

According to statistics, in the last 24 hours, there were 42 new cases, bringing the total number to 1,750.

Healthy people

In addition, the number of healthy people in the country increased significantly compared to the daily cases.

According to official figures, there were 5,927 people in the country who had recovered from the corona virus in the last 24 hours.

Thus, the number of those who have recovered in the country so far has reached one lakh 78 thousand 737.

Overall situation

If we look at the overall situation in the country after the increase in the number of cases of epidemics, deaths and recovery in the country, it is as follows:

The most affected provinces in the country are Sindh and Punjab. The number of cases in Sindh province is one lakh 8 thousand 913 while in Punjab this number has reached 88 thousand 539 cases.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 31,217 people have been infected with the corona virus, while in Balochistan, the number of infected people is 11,322.

In addition, 14,402 people have been affected in the federal capital Islamabad, 1,750 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 1,771 in Azad Kashmir.
