Jose Butler’s excellent batting helped England beat Australia by 6 wickets in the second T20 match to take a decisive lead in the series.
In the second match of the series played in Southampton, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first, which proved disastrous and two players were dismissed for three runs.

Captain Aaron Finch and Steven Smith had just reached the score of 30 when a misunderstanding between the wickets resulted in Smith being run out and returning to the pavilion.
Aaron Finch and Marcus Stevens combined for 49, after which Chris Jordan smashed the wickets of the 40-run Australian captain.
However, the real blow to Australia came when Stowes also started walking after scoring 35 runs with an increase of 10 runs.
After half the team returned to the pavilion for 89 runs, the visiting team was in trouble and at this stage Glenn Maxwell and Ashton Eger took over the team.

Both the batsmen played 26 and 23 innings respectively, thanks to which Australia scored 157 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated overs.
Chris Jordan was the most successful bowler for England with 2 wickets, but he also endured a 40-run knock.
In pursuit of the target, the English team also lost the wicket of Bairstow from the beginning which became a hit wicket on the ball of Starc.
After that, David Milan came to support Jose Butler and both the players strengthened their grip on the match by forming a partnership of 87 runs. Milan was dismissed for 42 runs.

Tom Benton and Owen Morgan remained short on the wicket and both were dismissed for 2 and 7, respectively, but from the other end, Butler continued to charge the bat and led his team to victory 7 balls earlier.
Butler played an innings of 77 off 54 balls, including two sixes and eight fours, and was declared the man of the match for the same innings.
