UAE Minister for Tolerance Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, 69, expressed surprise at the allegations of sexual abuse leveled at him by a 32-year-old British woman, calling them false.
According to the Associated Press (AP), Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, a Emirati minister and the most important member of the Abu Dhabi royal family, was recently accused of sexual exploitation by a 32-year-old British woman, Caitlin McNamara.

The British woman had recently claimed in an exclusive interview given to the British newspaper The Times that the Emirati minister had exploited her during a private meeting in February this year.
The woman who accused Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan of sexual exploitation is the organizer of the famous British literary and cultural festival ‘Hai’.
Caitlin McNamara is one of the organizers of the ‘Hai’ festival, which successfully hosted a four-day festival in Abu Dhabi before the Corona epidemic in February this year.

According to Caitlin McNamara, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan invited her to a meeting on an island in Abu Dhabi in preparation for the ‘Hai’ festival, where he was sexually exploited.
The woman made the allegations in an interview with a British newspaper, which was published as a major news item by broadcasters around the world, and soon after the interview, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak al-Nahyan’s lawyers in the UK denied the allegations.

A statement issued by the UAE minister’s lawyers, referring to Sheikh bin Nahyan, expressed surprise at the allegations made by the British woman and said that the woman made the allegations in a newspaper report eight months later. There is no doubt that these are false allegations.

The UAE Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it did not issue a statement on personal matters.
On the other hand, the British Metropolitan Police has confirmed that in July this year, the woman had contacted him regarding the rape and the police had recorded his statement.
After allegations of sexual harassment were leveled at the Emirati minister by the woman of the ‘Hai’ festival management, the top management of the festival also announced its support for the official and said that the festival will not be held again in Abu Dhabi. ۔

The ‘Hai’ festival was held for four days in February this year on funds released by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, which included many important world literary, social and showbiz personalities.
