National cricket team captain Babar Azam has challenged the Sessions Court’s decision to file a case against him in the Lahore High Court.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Hamza Mukhtar have been made parties in Babar Azam’s petition.
The petition states that Babar Azam is the captain of the national cricket team and the best player, he has set many international records.
He said that the Sessions Court has ordered to register a case under the Cyber Crimes Act.
In his petition, Babar Azam said that in the light of the decisions of the Supreme Court, the Justice of the Peace is not bound to order the registration of the case. Ordered to file a case against.
He asked the High Court to quash the decision of the trial court to register the case and suspend the decision till the final decision of the petition.
It may be recalled that two days ago, the Lahore Sessions Court had ordered to register a case against national cricket captain Babar Azam on charges of harassment and blackmail by a woman.
Lahore Additional Sessions Judge Hamid Hussain heard a petition filed by a woman against national cricket team captain Babar Azam.
In the petition, Hamza Mukhtar had alleged that he was being blackmailed and threatened at the behest of Babar Azam.
