The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has terminated the contract with the International Media Rights Partner of Pakistan Super League 2020 for serious violation of the agreement.

The PCB had given the media rights of Pakistan Super League (PSL) from 2019 to 2021 to Tech Front International FEDE, but has now terminated the agreement due to several serious breaches of contract, including payment of dues.

Shoaib Naveed, Project Executive, PSL, said that the PCB is a professional body that works in a transparent manner. Despite repeated reminders and contacts, the partner failed to abide by its responsibilities and agreement. The CB had no choice but to terminate the agreement.

The PSL project executive added that it was also important for the PCB to terminate the agreement at this time because now would be a good time to find a new partner for the next PSL event.

He said that the PCB has also initiated liaison with relevant broadcasters and various sub-licenses for international areas while initiating the process of formulating an integrated media rights policy strategy for PSL 2021.

The Board said that we reserve the right to recoup our losses and in this regard the strictest steps will be taken keeping in view the interests of the League and all its stakeholders.
