A 16-member Pakistani squad for the first Test against England has been announced.
The 16-member squad includes national team captain Azhar Ali, along with batsmen Babar Azam, Abid Ali, Asad Shafiq, Fawad Alam and Imam-ul-Haq.
Other players in the team include Kashif Bhatti, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Rizwan, Naseem Shah, Sarfraz Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shaun Masood, Sohail Khan and Yasir Shah.
On the occasion of the announcement of the national team, captain Azhar Ali said that he has fully prepared for the series against England and hoped that the players would perform well in the series.
Azhar Ali said that there is a lot of help from the coaches, our coaches do not want to impose their thinking which is a good thing.
The captain of the Test team also said that he knows that his form is not going so well but he will try to improve his performance with the captaincy.
Azhar Ali, who plays right-handed, said he knows his and Asad Shafiq’s performances mean a lot.
At the same time, in the context of the current situation, he said that it is difficult because of Code 19, but it is good that cricket is happening, the English Board and Pakistan Cricket Board have worked very hard.
Referring to the bowlers with the team in England, he said that fast bowlers are inexperienced but talented, our bowlers can bowl any team.
However, he said that we have more experience in batting than in bowling.
It should be noted that the first Test of the three-match series between Pakistan and England starts on August 5 in Manchester, after which the next two Test matches will be played in Southampton.
Against Pakistan, England has retained the same squad that won the series against the West Indies.
