Introducing a feature to transfer WhatsApp data from Android to iPhone

CALIFORNIA: Meta’s messaging application WhatsApp has finally rolled out its long-awaited feature of transferring chat history between Android and iOS to its users.

Until now, transferring chat history between the two operating systems was only possible through a third-party data transfer application.

This feature was only available in the beta version before it was released to all users. This transfer will transfer the user’s account information, profile photo, private chats, group chats, chat history, media and settings.
The user must have a smartphone running Android 5.0 or higher and an iPhone running iOS 15.5 or higher for this transfer.

Android phone should have WhatsApp version 2.22.7.74 or later installed and iOS device should have WhatsApp version 2.22.10.70 or later installed. The user must have a brand new iPhone or a factory reset device and have the ‘Move to iOS’ app installed on the Android phone. Finally, both phones should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and the same phone number should be used in the new iOS device.
